Meet Our Team

Danny Holcombe has served clients for over 30 years. Danny spent 16 years with a local Spartanburg firm, first as a staff accountant and then as a partner, and then spent 5 years with a Southeast Regional firm. As a result of extensive experience working with owner-managed businesses and the individuals involved with them, Danny understands that the accountant/client relationship is a collaborative process and that client needs are as varied as the businesses they manage. Being accessible, being a good listener, helping define the real issues, and assisting the client in developing solutions are the attributes that make Danny a successful advisor.

Danny’s client base is diverse, including the construction industry, professional practices, the manufacturing industry, and various service providers. He provides compliance and consulting services related to individual and corporate taxation, management advisory services, accounting services, and other support services for businesses and individuals.

Danny graduated from Wofford College in 1986. His membership in professional organizations includes the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (SCACPA), North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA), The Foothills Chapter of the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, The AICPA Tax Section, and the AICPA Forensic and Valuation Services Section.

Lisa Frye is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of South Carolina. She joined Holcombe & Frye, LLC (formerly Holcombe, Holtzclaw & Ravan, LLC) in January 2015 after beginning her career in public accounting at a Southeast Regional firm and then spending over 7 years as a staff accountant and manager at Ernst & Young, LLP where she served in the Global Compliance and reporting group. Lisa has provided tax compliance and advisory services to a variety of clients including both private and public companies within different industries including manufacturing, professional services, and real estate. Her experience includes corporate, partnership and individual taxation including multistate and local tax compliance. Lisa has experience with leading multicultural teams and has been an instructor for training classes on various topics. She is also a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

Lisa has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree and a Master of Accounting degree from the University of South Carolina. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA). Lisa and her husband, Ray, have four children and she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
